One of our member spotlights at the December meeting was from Debby Moreland. She started sewing years ago, and made her first quilt approximately forty years ago. She says she likes to make small quilts because of her short attention span.
Debby finds inspiration in many places, including when her daughter studied abroad in Northern Ireland. She wowed the group with her wonderful color selections.
Debby took a Craftsy class where she learned how to do straight line quilting, and she quickly decided that would be her signature quilting style.
She also showed us the first quilt pattern she designed herself which features pieced birds in colors and shades of gray and is finished off with straight line quilting, of course!
