December Meeting Recap

The group met on December 20 to wrap up the year with a holiday party, complete with mug rug and gift exchanges.  Very special thanks to the leadership team for a successful year!

There is a lot for the Capital Area Modern Quilt Guild to celebrate, specifically:
  • 22 baby quilts donated to the NICU
  • 2 speakers that we actually had to pay!
  • Our first swap with another guild
We had some great items shared during Show & Tell this month!  Lois shared her husband's Christmas present, which was an elephant quilt made from a Charlie Harper design.  The quilt will hang in the Child Advocacy Center, where her husband works as a pediatrician.

We're modern quilters and inspired by modern methods of sharing quilting ideas.  Jamie Lindsley loves YouTube and shared several projects inspired by quilting videos including a ten minute table runner, place mats, coasters and coffee cozies.

Members are reminded to bring Show & Tell items to each meeting.  We love seeing what you have been working on!

Interested in joining us in the new year?  New members are always welcome, contact us at CapitalAreaMQG@gmail.com.  Dues are $36 for the year.  We meet on the third Tuesday of the month at the Giant in Camp Hill.
