About Us

Capital Area Modern Quilt Guild

CAMQG was founded in August 2012 as a branch of The Modern Quilt Guild and welcomes members from Harrisburg, PA and surrounding areas. We are a group of both new and experienced modern quilters and sewists who come together on a regular basis to learn, share, sew, and give back.

Purpose
  • Encourage modern quilt making and collecting
  • provide educational activities such as speakers, demonstrations, workshops and lectures
  • Support and sponsor quilting activites such as community events, which provide the opportunity to share the art and enjoyment of modern quiting and promote the appreciation of this craft
  • Provide an atmosphere of fellowship by the sharing of skills, knowledge and inspiration

Meetings and Events

We currently have 26 members from all over central PA.

We meet the 3rd Tuesday of the month, at the GIANT Community Room in Camp Hill, PA

3301 Trindle Rd
Camp Hill, PA 17011

Along with our monthly meetings, we schedule periodic events on weekends, either guild events like a quilt show or sewing days where we have a challenge, open sew, or new technique/skill class.
