March Meeting and Sew and Share

Here 's our Sew and Share for the month. 


Debby used her gift from the Holiday party to put together this improv quilt using black and white.



 












Maike shared several pieces with us. A baby quilt pieced together with squares that were decorated at a baby shower with hearts. 















 She also shared a UFO scrappy quilt using HST.

Lastly, Maike shared a paper pieced miniature wallhanging of a red hatted lady.
















Gina shared two tops, one from a workshop, Crumb Quilts, led by MaryEllen at Bosler Library in Carlisle for the Letort Quilt Guild and her Improv quilt from our Sew Day. She used scraps from her stash and Grunge  fabric for the Crumb quilts.





Alice sewed this Triangularities which comes in different sizes and has a custom calculator for other sizes. She used a number of fabrics from Moda - 3 sisters and Grunge, batiks from Hoffman of CA, Boho - oasis , bunny tales and fabric from Art Gallery.  She is trying to use new color combinations that are outside her comfort zone.












Marla visited a wonderful quilt shop while in South Carolina and wanted to share the address with us in case we happened to be in the area.

Beth was experimenting with fibers and shared with us some weaving pieces and wrappings which she hopes to incorporate into a wall hanging.















Cindy completed her BOM quilt and used the Churn Dash blocks she received as a door prize.

She also completed the next 2 quilts and MaryEllen did the quilting.







Jamie finished a UFO and shared a great quilt for her husband using the Australian flag as her design inspiration.











Karen shared her completed Swan quilt  (Elizabeth Hartman pattern) (Fabric from Smilespinners, Marysville.

2 Dinosaur panel quilts for her grandsons which she purchased in MO.


She was experimenting with 1 Square Wonder place mats with fabric she bought at the Fabric Center in Carlisle.


Gay completed 2 UFO -  a jelly roll rug using fabric from Lori Holt and a 9 patch using fabric from her stash.
