February Meeting and Sew and Share

Meeting minutes from February.

Here 's our Sew and Share for the month. We'll be posting our LOGO challenge quilts after our March meeting.

Debbie has been really busy finishing her UFO's.
 Pattern Title:Love Flows with fabric from Laura Heiney

 A quilt she had to redo as the beautiful wine colored border lost all its dye and she had to return to Lancaster to purchase more fabric. 

 A Mountain Landscape she made while she was the President of the LaTort Guild. A  workshop by Karen Eckmeier.

 Here's a picture of the label Debbie and her mom, Donna use. This label is from the back of the below quilt, Spring Lake.

Debbie also made this Zip-up tray pouch with a pattern from Aneela Hoey.

Donna gave herself a challenge to make 20 baby quilts. Here is one of the quilts she designed using flannel. This quilt is made using one yard of three different fabrics mixing up pieces to make three different quilts.

Donna shared a purse made from Barb Thrush using pieces from Barb Long's Modern Quilt Project

Lois made this original pillow using Kona solids as a practice for her Logo Challenge quilt. 

She also made this Convertible Purse/Back Pack using Batiks.


Maike shared this quilt she made with her daughter. She told us a great story about how she and her daughter got this fabric for the quilt at a quilt show in Hershey a few years ago. The backing fabric comes from her Grandmother.



Debby finished her quilt from the Sew Day in September. She says she learned a lot about quilting with contrasting thread and her walking foot.


Gay's brother in-law was retiring and she made this quilt from 3 Dudes using a Batik jellyroll from her stash.

Three Birds is a quilt she made while attending a class with Bethanne Nemesh using ombre fabric.

Gloria took  2018 Block of the Month patterns and created a bed runner.




Karen finished a UFO which she designed herself. The fabric is from Handwerks in New Cumberland.

She pieced this beautiful Swan Island quilt using a pattern from Elizabeth Hartman. The fabrics are from Smilespinner, Marysville and the Fabric Center, New Cumberland.



Cindy made this beautiful bag.


Marla has been busy. She re-purposed this UFO titled Interlocking Stars from Quick and Easy Projects for the Weekend Quilter using flannel,made a wonky bird block and made her 2018 BOM into a gorgeous table runner.

Nancy has a family reunion coming up and made this Air Force inspired quilt for a family member. The pattern is titled Blessed Jets...  https://ww.etsy.com/shop/itsewsally. The fabric is from the Old Country Store in Lancaster County.


This quilt is titled Picnic and is a free download from Andover Fabrics.The fabrics are Chroma by Alison Glass.

MaryEllen  finished a UFO, a mini 9 patch.

 She will be leading a workshop on how to make a Crumb Quilt and here's her sample.
