July Meeting
June 21, 2022
Modern Moment: Debbie talked to us about unconventional tools we use in the sewing room. You don't always have to go out and buy all the fancy tools, get creative!
Sew & Share
Kris shared her colorful selvage quilt "Selvage Whirlwind" by Amy Friend
Janet shared her sons wedding quilt featuring large print fabric
Deb shared a block from a new quilt she's working on that uses raw edge applique
Karen shared her improved quilt block inspired by the many issues plaguing our country. The log cabins are wonky and broken to reflect the mood.
Janet shared an old hand quilted quilt she was given which was being used as padding for moving a piece of furniture. Lucky save!
Member spotlight was presented by Christina (that's me, and I forgot to ask someone to get my picture :( so I'll just add a picture of the best quilt I made)
A wonderful presentation was done by Evelyn who taught us about selvages and how to use them in projects.
Upcoming Events:
October 1st: Sit and Sew by the CAMQG (more info soon)
