Fall Challenge

Fall Challenge

In July, Karen asked us to bring a non-quilting magazine to our meeting. We used a mathematical equation to arrive at a designated page number. This page was to inspire us to create something. Karen left the perimeters open. And here's what we  did.....

Gay took the colors in the picture and used them to create blocks from Suzy Quilts, Shine pattern.

Cordell used page 80 in the Jan/Feb edition of The Atlantic. This is an off-center interpretation in solids and figured fabric from CAMQG and Tanzania.

Melanie found inspiration from the text on this page. One of her long term goals is to move to a warmer climate.

Debby used page 108 from the art magazine, UPPERCASE and was inspired by the memorabilia and straight lines of the shelves. She used two old linen pieces from her grandmothers to create these table runners.

Joan used a page from Southern Living Magazine to create this beautiful table runner.

Marilyn found a page in a Running Trails magazine and created this table runner.

We'll be adding more pictures as our members share them.
