July's Show and Tell....
Gay has a passion for chickens and this lead her to create this chicken quilt which she found on Pinterest. She used fabric from her stash. She also created this Flower Glass quilt from Missouri Star Quilt Company, It began as a challenge using a magazine page for inspiration.
The challenge came from the Stitch N Peace Quilt group in Gettysburg.
Amy took a little time away from quilting to finish this map of Japan Cross stitch which she started in 1990 and finally finished and framed it this month.
Sigrid made this Moda Modern Building Blocks quilt from a kit.
Sonja creates cards using fabric. She uses them for her own personal use and for gifts. She made this baby quilt using a panel she got from Mooks in Lancaster.
Karen made this picnic quilt for a niece who was getting married in California. It is a Missouri Star quilt pattern. She made a matching tote , too.
She also shared with us a design of hers that she created after taking a workshop at the Mancuso Quilt Show in Lancaster from Laura Wasilowski called Tiny Homes. She used fusible fabric applique and some improv techniques. Her granddaughter made one, too. It's on the left.
Karen shared her challenge quilt using Jacob's Ladder.
Debby used a small part of a Charley Harper print to help use design this wall hanging.
Program
Beth presented "Color Confidence", how to use both sides of the brain to understand colors as they relate to each other and how to give your quilts the story that you want it to tell. Here are a few samples of her quilts.
Thanks, Beth!
