On Saturday, September 22, CAMQG held a Modern Improvisational Piecing Workshop led by our very own Beth Reese. Twelve members of CAMQG gathered to learn and sew the day away. Beth led us through the creation of blocks such as Shifty Strips, Positive Addition, Daring Diamonds and Twin Peaks. Everyone had fun letting go of our inner perfectionists and just having fun with the improvisational techniques.
The group enjoyed a delicious fried chicken lunch organized by Donna, and the cookies lasted throughout the afternoon.
We delighted in seeing how everyone's blocks came together - they all looked so different with the varying fabric selections and placement of light and darks. The day sped by!
