Rainbows and a Fabric Challenge

Here's What CAMQG Has Been Up To!

Our bottled rainbow blocks are coming back, and they look amazing! Participants took home a variety of scraps, a kona solid, and used a quilt as you go technique based on this Quilt Along.

Once they are all done, they will be pieced into a quilt which will be donated to a charity auction for Caitlin's Smiles , a local group which works to bring smiles to children with chronic or life-threatening conditions through arts and crafts activities. How fantastic is that?

Have you heard that the MQG's has partnered with Michael Miller Fabrics for  the 4th annual MQG members fabric challenge??

Guidelines (from the MQG website) are...

  • The challenge runs from March 2014-June 23, 2014.
  • Winners announced July 8, 2014
  • Members may make anything they want as long as it is quilted!
  • Add in any solid or Michael Miller printed fabric.
  • You do not need to use all the fabrics given to you.
  • Upload and share your photos to the Fabric Challenge Forum on the Community site.
  • MQGs can create guild specific challenges, as long as the other guidelines are upheld.
  • Don’t forget to use the #mqgfabricchallenge on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter!
As if playing with these prints wasn't fun enough, Michael Miller is going to pick  3 winners. Each one will receive a posting on the Michael Miller blog and “A year of Free Fabric”.

What!?!  How cool! Stand by for photos of our guild members' creations from this fantastic fabric line.
