Sew & Share
Janet F.- This creative and symbolic “quilt around the square” begins with the town square with each border expanding to the surrounding forest and eventually the stars of space.
Deb L. - Ella, Deb’s friends’ dog, is rendered in this quilt made by freezer paper piecing with 2” squares. A technique she learned in a class with Timna Tarr.
Donna - This inspirational scroll is a form of “slow” stitching done entirely
by hand with an inked background. Notice the fine detail.
Tasha - This “river runs thru it” quilt was part of a group venture in which
the river lines up in all the quilts when placed side by side.
Tasha - This buck and doe pair she did for her parents, illustrate the difference in quilting needs
when negative space is increased by removal of some element design.
Chelsea - This exquisite brain was paper pieced for Mental Health
Awareness month (May) and is also fitting for June - Alzheimer and Brain
Awareness month.
Karen S - Karen asked the group input on quilting ideas - we hope she
shares again when the quilting is done.
