September member Spotlight

Our member spotlight this month was Debbie Lohman, who has created over 1,000 projects in her quilting and crafting journey. She says she creates about 100-125 projects a year.  In 2012 she and her mother, Donna, had a joint quilt show at a museum in Mechanicsburg.
Debbie's mother taught quilting classes in local sewing shops when Debbie was growing up. She would help her mother with the classes but never took one. She says she was a "closest quilter" in those days, but that has changed. She has entered quilts in national shows and has won many ribbons. Here is a taste of the quilts she shared with us.

These were Debbie's firsts 2 quilts from the late 80's.

And here is a tiny sampling of  her quilts since then.....

We were all amazed with Debbie's quilting and designs. She says she is always learning. However, she does admit that she likes fabric and tools more than she does quilting.  Debbie is helping to coordinate our charity quilt for QuiltCon this year.
